Vale View is a partnership project involving Newark & Sherwood District Council, Nottingham Community Housing Association and Nottinghamshire County Council Social Services Department. The Central Nottinghamshire Health Care Trust has a community nursing representative on the joint committee overseeing the project.
NCHA manage 19 single occupancy self contained flats which are designed for wheelchair access and contain a cooker and fridge. These are situated within block three.
There are also four two bedroomed bungalows to the rear of the scheme.
All have the warden call facility. |  |  | | Sheltered Housing Officers provide 24 hour support 365 days a year. There is daily contact with each resident and emergency cover at night.
It is through this daily contact that changing needs can be recognised and early appropriate help sought as necessary.
A home cooked low cost two course dinner is available 7 days a week to all residents.
All communal rooms are on the ground floors of blocks one and two and include laundry, kitchen, dining room and a dayroom. The three blocks have lifts to all floors. Vale View also has visiting mobile hairdressers and a chiropodist.
Vale View prides itself on its holistic approach to the well being and happiness of the residents. An active residents' committee combined with officer support ensures a wide range of social activities. Suggestions are always welcome from all residents and their families.
