Asian Elders
NCHA has been providing accommodation and support for Asian Elders since 1989.
Ashiana based in Sneinton and Basera House in Hyson Green provide a culturally appropriate environment and a support service delivered by Asian language speaking staff. All flats are independent and include kitchen, bedroom, lounge and bathroom. Ashiana is a corridor scheme and flats at Basera House all have external front doors into a courtyard.
The service is person centred and assists service service users to maintain their independence for as long as possible through supporting them to access a range of external agencies including health and care services. Service users gain support from each other and have opportunities for scheme activities including using the communal lounges and kitchens.
